The Platinum will charge, test, maintain and recover. Rated at 0.8 amps charging current, the unit will charge a  battery until it reaches 14.3 volts. The Platinum will then maintain the battery at 13.6 volts +/- 0.2 volt at a current that the battery needs. It will examine and review the battery automatically. If the battery has a high self discharge rate the Platinum will attempt to recover or de-sulphate the battery.
