CEN is an independent European standards committee that grades and certifies padlocks from 1 to 6. Padlocks range from low security applications used on lockers and toolboxes etc through to high security applications for securing high value goods such as motorcycles. It is important to select the correct padlock for the correct application. Most companies would recommend grades 3 to 5 for a good level of security.
